About Us

Laura Jones was born for Interior Design.
 

Even as a child in Summerville, before she knew there was such an industry, she was dabbling in art and design, and mentally (maybe more than mentally....) rearranging the furniture in people’s homes.

During her time at the College of Charleston, Laura’s passion was ignited when she moved down the street from a home textile fabric shop. Later, after Laura was married, she and her husband moved to Greenville where she loved visiting the textile mills and bargain hunting for "mill end" fabric bolts. Laura was addicted to all things "textile" and was redesigning her own home and the homes of her friends and relatives.

Upon returning to the Lowcountry 30 years ago, Laura began her business consulting and designing local residents' window treatments and homes and eventually earning gushing reviews, along with her then business partner, Kathy Hutchinson, in national magazines, providing a fresh, clean “traditional eclectic” style that customers love. More than once clients have marveled, “I don’t know how you did this, but it feels like home.”

Now a team of four, Laura Jones & Company is the full-service design firm sophisticated clients bring in at the dream stage and work with through realization. They offer a relaxed working relationship and a constantly changing showroom of furniture, home accessories and garden design elements that speak casual elegance with an acquired look.
